Dear All,

The 3D model of the engraved elephant present on the western side of the Chiguéou natural arch has been uploaded to Sketchfab.

The engravings and paintings on the eastern side of the Chiguéou natural arch, including also the engraved-painted cattle figure described by Gérard Bailloud in 1997, have been scanned and rendered in a  3D model uploaded to Sketchfab.

Click the links and enjoy rotating, panning and zooming.

All the Best

Chers Amis,

Bonne Visite

Dear all,
The 3D model used for the postural analysis of the archaic paintings found in the Eli-1 Shelter in the Ennedi, shown in a preliminary form during the Allevard meeting in 2017, is now published on Sketchfab.
Please, click the following link and allow time for the model to load in the 3D viewer:

Eli-1, 3D postural study

Model 25. Eli-1 Shelter, Ennedi (Chad). Postural reconstruction by a 3D digital mannequin (performed in DAZ Studio) of the two central figures shown in a group scene painted within the western niche of the Eli shelter (backdrop: image enhanced by DStretch in the LDT colour space). Body proportions and stylization conventions of the studied paintings are distinctive of the Sivré style. Clothing and body decorations are artist’s renditions, not meant to represent accurate reconstructions of the actual depicted items.

3D Survey of the Ennedi rock art.

The Délébo Cave in the Ennedi (Chad) is the most important archaeological site excavated by Gérar Bailloud in the Ennedi, during the *"Mission aux Confins du Tchad"*, in the 1956-1957 years. The paintings mentioned by Bailloud (1997) but not surveyed were recorded in 3D on February 2017 and presented for the first time at the AARS meeting in Allevard, the 25th of may 2017.

The 3D model is now accessible on Sketchfab. Please, click the following link:

Allow time to load the model (multi-scale) in the 3D viewer. Zoom-in and zoom-out.

Enjoy
